My Work Philosophy and Goals
Continuing development:
First, I plan to expand on my clinical medical nutrition therapy skills to define a scope of practice into a specialty. MNT is very important to me and I hope to carry it honorably though my career.
Second, I am always working to increase my understanding of the world around me so that I may empathize with patients to the best of my ability. I am great at working with others because I am always looking to understand someone else’s perspectives.
Finally, I am always working to refine my competency as a leader. By taking charge in group projects and campus clubs, I am always pushing myself to become a better, more confident leader.
After my training to become an RDN, I plan to work in acute clinical care for a few years to develop a strong foundation in clinical MNT. After a few years, I hope to open a private practice that allows me to expand my services throughout the state, especially in rural areas.
